Food and Drink in Boscastle
Bridge House Tearoom
Everyone serves Cornish Cream Teas, but we think the best scones in Cornwall are made by Lou at Bridge House Tearoom.
The Cobweb Inn
The Cobweb Inn is a must to visit. Selling a range of beer and pub food it’s a great place for locals and visitors alike. Saturday nights are music nights with local bands. It is worthwhile booking in advance although the staff will make every effort to fit everyone in.
The Rocket Store
A bijou seafood restaurant at the Harbour, overlooking the river and ideal for special occasions. It is so small that booking is essential. Check the website for opening hours.
The Good Stuff at Harbour Light
One of the prettiest cafes is The Good Stuff at Harbour Light, past the lower bridge at the Harbour. This little café was completely washed away during the 2004 flood and has been painstakingly reproduced stone by stone. They now serve speciality coffees and an interesting range of local foods both vegetarian and vegan.
At the top of the village is another pub, The Napoleon Inn (the Nap), a delightful low-beamed 16th century inn serving real Cornish ale straight from the barrel alongside a great selection of beers spirits & wine. There is a restaurant with waitress service, or you can eat in the bar area.
If you are just after traditional fish and chips then Sharon’s Plaice is the place to be, serving fish and chips to eat in their garden or to take away. To avoid queueing we would suggest you order by phone first and then go to collect.
